This curated selection of photographs stands as a definitive archive of resistance, bearing witness to a defining moment when a generation rose to demand justice, dignity, and the fundamental right to live without fear. The images move beyond mere documentation; they capture the raw, visceral truth of the EndSARS movement's complexity from the collective anger an courageous defiance in the streets, to the solemn act of remembrance, and the silence left in the wake of violence.
In curating these ten moments, I reflect both the resilience and vulnerability of the protestors; where ordinary Nigerian youths are transformed into powerful symbols of a national awakening, articulating the systemic dehumanisation and refuting false narratives. This selection is an essential act of remembrance and a poignant visual testimony of courage, pain, and unwavering hope, serving as a call to continue the pursuit of a society where freedom and humanity prevail.

OMOTAYO TAJUDEEN
Omotayo Tajudeen is a Nigerian documentary photographer and storyteller whose work explores the intersections of identity, culture, and social change. With over six years of experience, his practice spans portraiture, fine art, and editorial photography, yet it is through documentary work that he most powerfully engages with questions of memory, justice, and everyday resilience.
His photographs have been exhibited and published internationally, including by institutions such as the International Center of Photography (ICP) and FORMAT. He has collaborated with organisations, brands, and faith-based institutions to tell stories that move beyond aesthetics, grounding his images in context and humanity.
A member of the Africa Photojournalism Database and Diversify Photo’s Up Next group, Omotayo’s work is inspired by the belief that photography can both archive and provoke; serving as witness to the present while imagining new futures. His practice transforms the ordinary into visual testimonies of life, struggle, and hope.
