Mvuyelwa Onke Nyushman is a photographer born in South Africa and based in Gqeberha. His work consists primarily of a series exploring belonging through the capture of liminality within the photographic medium. The translation of liminality into photography involves documenting liminal spaces. Through these spaces—places that cannot be inhabited but only passed through—he seeks to understand what belonging means, to experience environments in new ways, and to draw attention to what is often taken for granted.
