Landscape photography can go much deeper than simply capturing a wide-angle scene. In these two photos, I have chosen to highlight the textures of the landscape by removing color. In the first image, I included a lifeguard stand to introduce a man-made element into the scene. I treated the lifeguard stand as a figure and photographed it from multiple angles while keeping the overall content of the frame minimal. In both photos, my primary focus was on the landscape and how its various elements create visual interest. Additionally, the images emphasise the absence of presence in a space that is usually full of life.
