Every creative work begins long before it reaches the page, canvas or screen. It begins in memory, observation, conversation and inherited knowledge. It is in the books and places we revisit, the songs that carry us and the questions that remain unresolved. Often, these influences are invisible to the audience. Through, Room of References, we invited our Issue 2 contributors to make some of their influences visible.
