Palimpsest

I think of myself as a palimpsest: a surface continually written, erased, and rewritten. I am an accumulation of past selves, each leaving traces beneath the person I am becoming.

Palimpsest brings together three forms of self-documentation: A Few Heartfelt Interludes, a collection of poems preserving conversations with earlier versions of myself; A Graveyard of Selves, a documentary reflecting on the creative identities and possible lives I have left behind; and my creative portfolio, the newest layer of who I am.

Together, these works ask: What remains of me after I become someone else? Through this project, I explore memory, creative identity, loss, and becoming, while acknowledging that nothing is ever completely erased.
