The Biker on the Moon

There’s a rocket being filled with dreamers in Cameroon. Everyday dreamers who wonder what lies beyond the clouds, and dreamers who teach younger dreamers the basics of outer space education. My project is inspired by the first dreamer I knew: my cousin, who was ridiculed for wanting to become an astronaut from Africa. I, too, am a dreamer.

The photo series, "The Biker on the Moon," follows Souzia and his friends. Deep in the heart of Cameroon, in the bustling city of Douala, lives a commercial bike rider who fell in love with the sky. Supported by his fellow riders, he created a makeshift suit and helmet as a symbol of hope and inspiration. His dreams are valid, no matter how audacious.
