C#OKW£ is created in Ibis Paint mobile. In my belief that draw they're spirits from the Mwana Pwo masks of the Chokwe people of Angola. Traditionally, these masks embody ideals of feminine beauty, wisdom, and ancestral presence, serving as powerful symbols in ceremonial dances and cultural storytelling.

This artwork reimagines that tradition through a contemporary lens. The helmet-like head, the obscured eyes, the chaotic inscriptions—these are not ceremonial carvings but graffiti sigils, not earthy pigments but electric neon. Where the Chokwe mask once guided spirits, this mask confronts the turbulence of modern existence. It is a mask of protest and transformation, channeling ancestral ideas into a new language where chaos is not feared but organized—structured into a vibrant, living force that reflects survival, resistance, and beauty in today’s world.

The phrase ORGANIZED CHAOS anchors the piece, suggesting the tension between tradition and modernity, order and disorder, identity and transformation. By merging the visual language of the Chokwe with expressive digital techniques, I aim to honor the cultural roots of the Mwana Pwo while also exploring how ancestral symbols can be reimagined in contemporary art practice. These artworks are both homage and exploration of my life.
